It was good reading. It was for my own personal knowledge.
A forge or not a forge? Either way everything told in it, is and has happened, so i'm leaning towards NOT a forge.
Chilling book on the 'plan' for destroying Christians.
The protocols are a forgery but they are a historically significant forgery. This book presents them in a broader historical and social context than any other currently in print and I recommend it for that reason. The primary evidence for their forgery is that parts of the text were plagiarized from an inflammatory French pamphlet published (and quickly suppressed) a half century earlier. Further, there is not a shred of evidence that there ever existed a group calling themselves the Elders of Zion; however, Zionism was a significant and controversial political movement at the time the Protocols appeared in local languages all over Europe. Curiously, Russia was home to the largest population of Jews in the world at that time, but was last to read the Protocols translated to their own language. Tsar Nicolas II was horrified when he read them, but as soon as his Prime Minister Pyotr Stolypin proved to him they were a forgery, he banned their further publication and distribution in Russia. But, how can such a forgery be significant? They were important because so many people believed them to be genuine, and they did so because the protocols were a physical literary embodiment of a Zeitgeist in Europe in the first four decades of the last century. This particular book also explains Henry Ford’s fascination with the Protocols and his commentary on them in The Dearborn Independent. The Zeitgeist that created and promulgated the Protocols is the same spirit that gave rise to Bolshevism and Nazism. These two really, really bad ideas the led to the death of more than sixty million people in the last century. As Alexandr Solzhenitsyn points out in his two volume historical essay Divesti led emesti (Two hundred years together), Tsar Alexander spent vast sums from his treasury trying to settle the Jews in Russia on farms and in agricultural communities to do productive work, shortly after he had freed the serfs. They refused, and turned down the subsidies, preferring to subsist on the mercantile way of lie of their Khazar ancestors. (See Arthur Koestler, The Thirteenth Tribe, or any encyclopedia entry on the Khazars). Henry I had tried the same thing in England, but on a much smaller scale, centuries earlier with less success. Solzhenitsyn marvels that those Zionists who did emigrate to Palestine and live on Kibbutzim, were successful farmers in far worse agricultural conditions than they were offered for free, and with subsidies, in the Ukraine or Central Russia. They were true pioneers. Most Eastern European Jews were the descendants of converted Khazars and had no historical affinity to Ha Eretz, in fact, most were Khazars, a Turkish people and had no Semitic bloodline at all. The most common response of Eastern European Jews to Zionist encouragement to relocate in Palestine before World War II was “That place is a desert, who wants to live in a desert?”
An absolutely phenomenal read, entirely relevant to the modern-day. One of the most important books ever written in all of history.
Whether the book was written by “anti-Semitic” ruskies, (((them))), or whomever else. What matters is that the book’s primary substance is becoming a reality. Forgery, fake, or not, it matters, and applies.
This isn't the actual book... Just a short essay of the story about the book... I wish I could return it.
